supraspinatus- abduct arm
infraspinatus- laterally rotate arm

SUBscapularis/Teres MINor- ADDUCT and MEDially rotate arm

so i dont have a mneumonic for the first two but notice that both subscapularis and teres minor dothe same thing
and they all have a mathematical function (subtraction, minus, addition, median)

so did first aid make a mistake?

Its not funny, but it kinda is. FA has several little ticky-tack mistakes.

The teres minor one, the ovulation hormone cycle and saying that phenytoin causes B12 deficiency are three that are notable.

(Phenytoin causes folate deficiency)

idio you sure about the phenytoin thing? I just looked it up in pharm (lippincotts). It also indicated that you would get Megaloblastic anemia because pheny dec the metabolism of vit b12.

there was no mention of folate. 😕

you know what else is funny? step up making a plethora of mistakes, then putting out corrections on their website which has a mistake on it!!

Sorry, teres minor is an external rotator of the arm. Teres MAJOR (not a rotator cuff muscle) is an internal (or medial) rotator of the arm.

why don't you quit trying to make up mnemonics and just memorize it! you just need to know it for a day anyways. there's only like 5 things you need mnemonics for and this isn't one of them.

sorry i need a mneumonic when they all freakin sound the same.... and if you only needed a couple of mneumonics for the whole darn thing, first aid wouldnt have hundreds. a lot of ppl, including sdners, have cited that theyve made up their own mneumonics...

everyone learns differently. you do what works for you 😉

Phenytoin inhibits intestinal conjugase, which is what allows for folate absorption. This is 100% true. I do not know about any B12 interaction.

What you are saying is that phenytoin could induce (not decrease) the B12 metabolism, just like it induces metabolism of everything. I think the greatest effect is the decreased folate absorption.
