I am going on rotations next year, and I am looking to get a smart phone. What mobile apps do you guys find to be the most helpful while rotations beside the clinical ones (Lexicom, pharmacist's letter, clinical pharm, medscape, etc.)? What features would you look for in an app but is currently unavailable on the market? Thanks in advance for the help. 🙂

Lexi on-hand is awesome for while on rounds, got the most detailed drug info, interaction checkers, various calculators. Hope your school gives you access.

Epocrates is free, and have pictures of all the meds. The pictures are especially useful for newly admitted patients who aren't sure of the names of their home meds.

Qx Calculator: easy to use for calculation of drugs/lab values, e.g what's Framingham score? phenytoin level when adjusted for albumin and renal? I find it easier to use than the one built into Lexi.

I am a little confused what you mean by "besides the clinical ones"? I mean I love "Tower Defense", is that what you are looking for? I use "Around Me" quite often as well.

For pharmacy I use Epocrates, Pharmacist's Letter (love their charts!), and Clin Pharm. Qx Calc seems pretty awesome, thanks for the tip xiphoid.
