Money for summer

Anyone know how to get loan money beyond your financial aid package? I need money for the summer and I have already used all my money from school but I would like to get a loan for the summer where the payments are deferred like my normal school loans.

Well, this might sound a bit obvious, but you should go to your financial aid office. Mine has forms that you can fill out for summer aid.

thanks, ckent. It's good to see I'm not the only one telling people that part of their tuition goes to pay financial aid professionals.

I have talked to my school about financial aid for the summer and basically their response was there is no aid for the summer. If you want money for the summer you have to take out extra for the school year and set it aside. But they didn't tell us this when we needed to request money for the year. Our school also neglected to tell us that almost all our summer research positions require work study.
