What are the Moonlighting rates for psych residents these days?

Here in my program, we make about 65-75/hr (depending on day of the week) and some residents have been getting up to110/hr at unaffiliated hospitals (typically requiring more certs/licenses such as DEAs).

What kind of financial opportunities are available in your neck of the woods?....

Our internal moonlighting is $100 per hour for the psych ER and consults (PGY-2's who have done that rotation and upwards), $125 per hour for VA psych ER, and $100 per hour for overnight weekend shifts covering the psych hospital. We also have some backup moonlighting, which is $250 for coming in plus $100 per patient seen.

One of the highlights of our program 🙂

There are other threads on this. I have made 55 to 250 an hour worked all types of places. It just depends on the facility. The 250 was during fellowship though, at a facility that only employs BE/BC psychiatrists.
