I've been told that several programs allow their residents to moonlight in house and pay them pretty handsomely for it. The word is that UAB pays residents overtime and that some make an extra 15-20k per year.

Is there any truth to these rumors, and what are the other programs that also do this?

I wouldn't know where to rank it in K/yr, but Mt. Sinai offers in-house moonlighting opportunities for short call and long call.

Yeah, I heard this at my interview at UAB last year, some residents were making 60k + by "moonlighting" for 50-60$ per hour running rooms after 3 pm. Wake Forest also had some (maybe not as many as uab) extra shifts (mostly weekend) for similar cash money.
