More application money needed???

Hi all,
Im recieving emails and mail from dental schools I've applied to about them wanting more money like $50.00 and $70.00 for them to keep reviewing my application???!!!

I thought that's what AADSAS was for, I paid them over $1,000 dollars for the schools, do we really have to pay more???

every school has either an application processing fee or a secondary application fee. regardless of how the word it, yes, they all want $ for looking at your AADSAS application.

Well, you can choose not to pay them if you do not want your application to be looked at by the schools.

But yeah, it's pretty lame on their part. Should have just centralized the payments so we don't run around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get their supplementary payments.

Oh, yes... all schools want their cut. The AADSAS money you paid stays with AADSAS.

Just hope you get in first round and don't need to reapply.

1) Does anyone has any success with 2* fee waiver / app processing fee for schools?

2) Any folks dipping into 401K to pay for applications/interview, etc.?

3) Beside asking family and relatives or getting a job, how are you planning to pay for such expenses?

How bad do I want to go to ds? I'm bad enough to mow my neighbor's lawn for extra cash LOL.

I was denied FAP... I won't get into that sorry excuse for a program lol (I'm just bitter). But to cover my cost - since I am taking a pathophysiology course this summer and to cover tuition I had to take a loan. So I requested substantially more than I needed for tuition :/ all that's going to these outrageous fees. And selling a kidney is plan B
