Hi quick question for you long timers! This fall, I'm starting my sophomore year, and the only classes I NEED to go on are Gen Chem 2, Orgo 1, and Gen Physics. Community College, so class times are kinda limited. I was thinking about taking Anatomy and Physiology and some electives to round it out, but I was also thinking of just taking the first three for 12 credit hours and really concentrate on ECs this fall. I'll be tutoring, most likely can get some clinical work as well, have doctors lined up for some shadowing experience, and will be doing research over breaks, as well as doing blood drives, working with the honors program, and student government. At this point, which would be more effective for my career?

Since you're at a cc and classes are limited, I would recommend that you take general physics, the next chemistry that you need to take, an A+P course, and one non-science course. That should add up to ~15 credit hours. Add 2-3 solid extracurricular activities and you should have yourself a wonderful sophomore year.

Take the least amount of classes that you need to satisfy your requirements. Or that you can take and be confident youll get a 4.0 with.

Getting A's is more important than EC's.

Dont overload yourself with too much to handle.

Id say it goes MCAT > GPA > EC = LOR
