I hate this. If I'm studying, at least I wish these bastards would give us information that doesn't conflict with each other. OK, so in DiGeorge, the defect results from a failure of what? BRS path says its from a failure of embryonic development of the third and fourth branchial arches. FA says it's from the third branchial POUCH. HY embryo also says pouch. Qbank, my friend tells me, says it's from the third ARCH (agreeing with BRS path). We've got four sources, and it's 2 vs 2. Anyone have a tie breaker source?

Yep...thus the FA mnemonic: CAP covers from outside in

C--> Clefts...ECTOderm
A--> Arches...MESOderm
P--> Pouches...ENDOderm

Yeah, weve seen this brought up before. Definitely pouches. Willamette's mnemonic is the way to go.

I saw that in BRS Path also....in that case BRS path is wrong...surprise surprise....3rd and 4th pharyngeal pouches it is!!
