I've taken a bunch of notes during my interview season to try to make the best decision on my residency choices. I've compiled them and added them to the interview feedback database. However, I still feel there are a lot of you out there that might have info that I might not have been exposed to.

Therefore, this is a plea to those applicants out there to add more of your experiences to the anesthesiology residency interview database:

I'm also looking for reviews of different programs by current residents. http://www.Scutwork.com is the only site I know of and is somewhat dated.

I'm also checking the accreditation status of many of the programs via ACGME to look for red flags.

Any other strategies being employed out there? Other than the obvious gut feeling when you find a program you like?

Please be aware that this site has some very outdated information. As a PD, I recently reviewed the information for my program. Some of the info refers to events of over 10 years ago - i.e. "new Chair". The reviews have not been changed inseveral years, nor have the USMLE data of applicants. In an attempt to ask that the admins correct and update, I sent an email which was returned undeliverable. May tell you something of the accuracy of this data.

Thank you, Sir, for the notice. I certainly wish I had known that 5 months ago when I used that site in deciding on away rotations, but I suppose that part turned out well.

On another note, it is great to see some more PDs lurking and posting when s/he sees misinformation! I hope I applied to and am ranking your program; to me, actions like this speak very loudly to quality leadership.

Best of luck to all!
