Hi everyone,

I was just doing some light research on different schools and came across this article. I was actually shocked that this dentist got her dental license revoked from NYUCD for not meeting a quota of $38,000 in dental treatment prior to graduation. I might be naive to all of this, but do most dental schools require you to meet some sort of dental treatment cost prior to graduation? Is NYUCD the only school (do they still do this, article was in 2012) that has such requirements or most dental schools do? Any help would be much appreciated!

We don't have a monetary requirement. We have a CEE requirement, where each procedure gives us a certain amount of CEE's, and we have to meet the overall CEE requirement by graduation. If you're running behind, you have ample opportunities to pick up extra hours in the clinic to catch up. So... this is pretty much on her for not being on top of her requirements.
