Our new residency director is actively looking to recruit people to our residency. We had over 200 applications this year, but due to an insane cutoff for board scores most of those applications were summarily rejected.
I'm posting this to let applicants know that the cutoff has been effectively removed. If you are interested in coming to MLK, or your previous application has been rejected, please let me know and I'll put you in contact with our residency director.
For those of you in cold states, this is perhaps the easiest, and best way to move to California (75 degrees today) and still do EM.
We're working on rebuilding the program. We have a good peds rotation now, and an excellent trauma rotation is forthcoming. Additionally many of the problems within the hospital have been resolved.
