Hey, all. I'm applying for this cycle, and I wanted to ask for some more low-tier (in terms of acceptance numbers) M.D. schools I could apply to. I'll post both my stats and the schools I've already applied to (all secondaries done). Hoping to get this done by tomorrow. By the way, I am non-URM and non-disadvantaged, which might be important information. I've been working in research for the past two years with a publication in the works, and without going into too much detail, leadership, volunteering, musical theatre, classical voice training, and choirs.

Stats:

cGPA - 3.54
sGPA - 3.62
MCAT - 10 10 10 Q

Albany Medical College
Boston University School of Medicine
Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (First II - received on 9/19)
Creighton University School of Medicine
Drexel University
George Washington University
Georgetown University School of Medicine
Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine
Jefferson Medical Coll.
Loyola
Mayo Medical School
Medical College of Wisconsin
Meharry Medical College
New York Medical College
Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine
Rush Medical College
SUNY Upstate Medical University
SUNY Downstate
Temple University School of Medicine
The Commonwealth Medical College (Not filling out secondary. Maybe. I shouldn't read forums. They make me change my mind!)
The University of Vermont College of Medicine
Tufts University School of Medicine
University of Massachusetts Medical School
University of Rochester School of Medicine
Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine

Thanks in advance, guys. I really appreciate it.

SLU comes to mind as a private, not-ridiculously-competitive school that isn't on your list. You already hit most of the others

Thanks for that! I didn't even realize it existed. Or maybe I just thought it was public?

Should I consider any other state schools, or did I already hit the ones that might bite? Whatcha think?

This looks like a great list for your stats. I see that you are a re-applicant. Best of luck to you and keep up the persistence! :luck:

You might look into these to see if you suit their mission. All have at least a 15% OOS matriculation rate:

Wayne, Wright, FAU (new), MSU (high OOS tuition), Oakland (newer in MI), Penn State (requires a research thesis), Arizona X 2,
Louisville, UIllinois (high OOS tuition), Buffalo, EVMS.

Thanks much.

Added 7 of them, and already finished the supplementaries without essay prompts.

Just necrobumping my very old WAMC to say thanks! for the record, one of your additions did yield an interview!

I appreciate the feedback.

OMG, you're a resident already (presumably by July). How time flies. Which reminds me of that Cats in the Cradle song, "Turn around and they're tiny, turn around and they're grown, turn around and they're a young man goin' out on their own."

I start June 15th, and I'm ready for a crazy year!
