how many weeks of food do you get on the mela plan? it looks from the calendar to be about 12 weeks worth of food including finals week, 17 meals per week, which is 204 meals for $1330, or about $6.5 a meal. Isn't too bad if its buffet-style and the cafeteria quality is decent.

how long are the quarters though and are you allowed to stay in the RC over thanksgiving break or the other long breaks, or must you fly home (even if its very far away and very expensive...)? Does the meal plan extend to those areas? I'm mainly concerned about thanksgiving break, the break between fall and winter quarters, and christmas break.

you can stay in the rc during those times but the cafeteria is closed.

I think a quarter is 11 weeks...and thanks for starting this thread, it'll be very helpful to a lot of us coming in this Fall.
