watch what she does and don't get in her way 🙂 How did you find this DO to shadow? open up the yellow pages or through networking?

Usually schools will give you an option to send a letter from a committee or just 3 letters from individual professor. Either options will be accepted. Of course the best way would be to call them and find out straight from the horse's mouth.

Out of curiousity what University are you sending 3 letters to? So far my secondaries only have 2, one from science prof. or pre-health committee and the other from a physician (D.O. recommended).

This depends on the schools. Most often if they know that your institution has a committee, they prefer the letters come from them.

NSU requires 2 science and 1 non science + 1DO. but it says "A letter of evaluation from the pre-professional committee, or, if such a committee does not exist, then three letters of evaluation: two from science professors, and one from a liberal arts professor "

i really don't want to go to the committee at my school . i'm calling NSU soon to see if they 're ok with the professor's letter. My organic chemistry professor wrote me this beautiful letter for a scholarship application, i can ask him to write me a similar one for this. 🙂 then i'll probably ask my general chem professor or the physics one for a second one.

oh i found her name in an online database. Then i showed up at one of the offices and spoke to the nurse, the nurse gave me her other office's contact #. So i call and ask to leave a message for the Dr, then the Dr herself picks up the phone. 😉

i'm calling another DO tomorrow, this one is a family practice physician. It's hard to find DO's out there. i knew one at the hospital at which i was volunteering, but he was just so stuck up and arrogant thati never asked him for shadowing.
