🙁Did anyone else get a rejection email from OSU. I cant understand this, I have not even sent my money or supplemental application. Did this happen to anyone else what a waste. I am getting very discouraged, I have been rejected by Case, Loma Linda and OSU and its not even August.🙁

WHAT??????? wow thats harsh. at least you didn't send in any money. I just submitted my AADSAS and paid over $400!

They probably paid aadsas as well, just not the supplemental app fees yet.

wow hope, I'm sorry to hear that. Is there something questionable in your app that you knew would make you a difficult acceptance?

hmmm...any red flags? GPA and DAT ok? any potentially weird/damaging letters of rec?

damn that's early! people are still submitting apps I would think adcoms would at least consider apps a little more? I can understand their position too though...like everyone said any red flags in your apps?

sorry to hear that though but keep your head up! Maybe add some more schools and review your app to make sure everything is in line?

I got a rejection email from OSU today too. It feels so bad since I already paid and spent so much time on supplemental application. I thought my stat was competitive but I guess it wasn't for out-of-state student.

That sucks! I'm sorry, good luck with your other schools. If you two don't mind, could you share your stats? I just sent in my app a few days ago, and OSU is my #1. I'm out-of-state as well, and am wondering what my chances are. 😕

With Loma Linda, it is a Seventh Day Adventist dental school which means that they are preferential to SDAs first and foremost. Unless you have very competative numbers as a non-SDA, the chances are not very good there. I don't know what the numbers are like these days, but when I appliead and was accepted there over a decade ago, over 75% of the entering class was an SDA, so the rest of the acceptances had to be from the cream of the crop or show other outstanding potentials - kind of like an out-of-stater getting into a Texas school.
