more spots open after 1st round than before?

how is this possible?

some of the prelim sx places that weren't even on the list now have like 2 spots open, some places have even more spots open than before (ie. went from 5-->8)

Could you name the specialty... and maybe the state? Not asking the program names, so no violations.

dont know exact names, just by eyeing over the new list i saw that a certain state had 4 programs for prelim surg, now they have like 8 programs with lots of spots... wtf?

But which state? Been eying prelim surgery very closely and didn't see anything like that.
