harvard is tough, but getting into good state schools as non-residents is even tougher. unc averages between 600 and 1000 applicants for their maximum of 12 out of state spots. washington, ohsu, texas schools, are all the same.
Exactly. Lots of state schools can be MUCH harder to get into than Harvard.
Lots of Harvard-caliber appplicants from all 50 states would have trouble getting into the University of Puerto Rico. They take *5* non-Puerto Ricans a year.
I think if one can not get in @ his/her own state school
despite good GPA and DAT, then the chances are better at
Private school than some other state school. In any state
school, it is very tough to get in as non-resident.
