Hey I know its a little juvenile to ask for motivation to study ! I have exactly 4 weeks to go and I have been studying only 3-4 hours per day and the required aim is atleast 10 hours ! Please if possible provide me with good insights that could bring about a positive change.

Really need help 🙁

agreed...somedays i do the 8 -10 hrs....somedays i get 3 in...how can i motivate myself to get the 8-10 hrs daily?

I am exactly 4 weeks and one day from my exam and I'm doing about 40 pages of FA+ taking notes and 2 blocks UW + notes (only read educational objective for the ones I get right). don't know how many hours it represent in a day but it fills the day.. Plus I'm missing many classes to do this so my time must pay off.

It's our only and last chance. we must give everything

days pass and I get more and more confident about a good result. next week I'll take a NBME to see where I stand. already took nbme 6 and uwsa 2, next week will take 11 or 7. do you think it would be better to save 11 and 12 closer to the exam date or take 11 now to get a more realistic idea to where I stand then take 7 and to end the 12 one?

That happens to me all the time. I want to commit, but it is just so much easier to stand up from my chair and pretend I have to do something else.

It really sucks, considering also that so many medical students by now have mastered the discipline we need.

I downloaded an app called eternity lite or something that tracks my productivity during the day. Even that doesn't help me. I wish I were in some USMLE "bootcamp" with big guards that'll scare me if I don't do 10 hours plus.

Nothing intimidates me. Not even this damn test.

As usual. I can just promise to do better tomorrow.

"Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow...you're always a day away"

1.You should switch off all the distractions ... ((Like quitting cigarettes *smoking* )) It's hard in those first few days but after that it gets easier .... simple maths .... day 24h .... sleep 8h .... you are aiming for 10+h ... 2h eating ... and you need sometime to shower , Talk to family/friends , and some extra 1-2h for the wasted uneffective time during your study periods.......

What i wanted to say is that you should switch off distractions (this is the first and most important step ) otherwise you are being unrealistic (aiming for 10+h) and just fooling yourself.

2.If you are doing 4 hours now ... then you should start your day aiming for 6h and (if you were done with those 6h let's say by 5pm ) then you should aim for 8h during the same day and then 10h and so forth.

3.Remember that not doing that little extra hour daily might get you 195 instead of the 200 you might be aiming for ..... or 245 (instead of 250) ... etc.
Doing that extra hour will definitely improve your score ... It will never lowers it.

Good luck mate!
