This question is geared more towards those in their later stages of training/attendings. Does anyone know how Mount Sinai is viewed in the pathology world and how competitive their graduates are for fellowships and jobs thereafter?

what about florida?
mount sinai (NYC) is known for producing pathologists that become accustomed to high volume (liked by private practice). this year's seniors are going to md anderson, sloan kettering, and cedars sinai for surg path, one is staying for neuro, and the last is going to penn for gi..

(although I agree he's AWESOME!)
For certain reasons, I have been hearing bad things about mount sinai, NY, especially regarding the workload, and teaching. However, it seems that it's a good name and their graduates get good positions.
I think it's an example how names can count more than the quality of training!!!!!!!
One of the grads from Mt. Sinai Miami is a fellow at Emory. She seems to have really liked her program and spoke very highly of the director, who was a breast pathologist. She is very smart and got a good fellowship, so it sounds like Mt. Sinai Miami has some good features.
True statement followed by a false statement. The worst program with the worst non-pathologist running it currently.
