I have hardly seen anything from anyone regarding MSJU, has anyone been interviewed or received an invitation yet?

If so would you mind sharing your stats!

Thank you, good luck to all!

I interviewed on November 9 and I received my acceptance this past Friday (11/16). From what I could tell, they only have one interview date before the beginning of next year which was the (11/9) one and then they do a second interview in January so they probably won’t send out invites until like December for that one!

My stats are below! My GPA isn’t that stellar, but I also went down a different career path and then came back to PT. So my post-bacc gpa probably makes up a bit for it.

Major: Finance
cGPA: 3.19
pGPA: 3.5
GRE: 156 V, 153 Q, 4.5 AW

Observation: 126 hours combined in OP ortho, sports medicine, pediatrics, and acute care

LORs: 2 PTs, Anatomy professor, and my supervisor in my current career

Extracurricular: physiology club, pre health society, sorority, anatomy cadaver lab TA, two years in retail during undergrad, three summers as a manager of a coffee shop in undergrad, 2.5 years as a financial planner where I have also been in charge of interns, and I lead a discussion on science and innovation with a group of Egyptian college students

I’m sure you will hear from them soon!! Good luck!

I actually received an interview invite today for the January interview date! They did not do two November interviews last year so I was intrigued to see them do that this year. Congrats on the offer!

Congratulations!! The interview was really laid back. It’s a group interview with two other applicants and it’s with a faculty member, current student, and current PT. Let me know if you want any information! Good luck!

I got an email from them this morning for an interview on January 11th!!

Congrats on your acceptance! I tried to message you for more information about the interview but it wouldn't let me. MSJ is one of my top choices so I'd appreciate any tips you might have.

Hi! First of all, you have no reason to be nervous! Every faculty member and student I encountered was so so nice and really put you at ease. During the interview you’ll be with two or three other students and the interviewers I had just asked pretty basic questions (i.e. why do you want to go here? Why PT? How do you handle group projects? How do you study/ think you will handle the stress of PT school? Etc.). Really let your personality shine because part of being a PT is being personable. I think making eye contact with each interviewer when answering a question, not just the one that asked is a sign of confidence and awareness as well. Also don’t be afraid to sit for a few seconds to think about and answer or let someone go before you. Lastly, if you can, play off the other students’ answers from time to time they really like that and don’t try to one-up anyone. You will do great!
Good luck!!

P.S. have a question or two to ask the interviewers at the end!
