I'd do anything to find another Patch Adams or Lorenzo's Oil out there. Anybody got any recommendations?
gross anatomy perhaps?
I don't know about movies but Grey's Anatomy is definitely my inspiration for wanting to become a doctor.
one of my first year lecturers said we had to see:
Awakenings
The Doctor
and
Patch Adams
before graduating med school. I'm not sure I agree with the Patch Adams overly warm and fuzzy representation but the first two would be worth a look.
Something the Lord Made.
Where the Boys Aren't 1-16. I'm interested in gynecology.![]()
To see the world from the (French) patient's perspective: The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (with English subtitles).
A stunning portrayal of a man with a profound, acquired disability.
The Butterfly Effect
Pumping Iron
You have no idea.Classy.
"Wit" is a fantastic movie, and is from the point of view from the patient and you get to see her interactions with her doctors. Fantastic movie.

Our entire med class watched it 🙂
It's sort of off from the rest, but I really enjoyed "Cider House Rules."
^I loved that movie. 🙂
Slightly off-topic --> why do u like frogs so much?![]()
I chose a frog as an avatar because it went well with my User Name. People started identifying me with frogs, and I've just gone with the flow. At this point, it just wouldn't seem right for me to be anything but a frog.😀
I'd go with the Fountain or Half Baked.
