Hi,

After finishing your residency at a particular school, is it possible to leave the place you did your residency in and practice in another state ( or province, as I'm Canadian)?

I can see this being relatively straight forward for things like family practice i.e. you can just find a practice to get into, but for hospital-based specialties, how realistic is this?

Thanks.

This is very common. People do it all the time.
