Moving to NY,NY with a Masters in Clinical Psychology, MFT Degree.

Hello Everyone,

I'm finishing my degree in Masters in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy from a program in California in April. I have every intention to move to New York by the summer (June-August).

I know I have to get my qualifications assessed from their education board and from what I have read, I have met their requirements.

What I wanted to know was, how many opportunities are there really for MFT Interns collecting hours in New York?

What is the pay like for these positions?

what kind of jobs could I get in New York?

If anyone is from New York please let me know what kind of an income I would need to survive in the city, with roommates of course!
