Hey guys, just looking for your opinion/insight.
I did well in undergrad, graduated with a 3.5 with degrees in human biology, medical anthropology. I was pre-med, but was interested in global health so I went for the MPH (and eventually planned to go for the DrPH or PhD but I decided research is kind of awful) and I'm not really a fan of public health in general, at least the program I'm in is pretty awful, especially the administration. Basically, because of failed advising, I'm taking 22 credits this semester and my graduate school GPA will be relatively low, probably 3.1 or 3.2 at the highest. If I decide to continue with my studies, is this going to seriously hurt my chances of getting into a DO school, assuming average MCAT scores? (I have awesome extra curriculars, and I will at least have a graduate degree from a renowned medical school). Let me know what you think. Thanks

Its not going to be helpful for you obviously....but as someone who got a MS before med school (and had 2 C+s one quarter) its not going to sink you as long as you pull that GPA up. Taking 22 credits isnt going to wow anyone...considering we take more than 22 credits a quarter in my med school class...and you will be expected to perform at that level.
