Interviewed at UConn, which offers IM residents the opportunity to earn a MPH during residency. From what I was told, the vast majority of this would be earned during the second year. Has anyone earned an MPH while a resident? How did this impact your work as resident? Any UConn experiences?

This would be during your clinical time as a PGY-2? How would you have time to go to classes, at night?

In Gen Surg MPHs (or other degrees) are earned during dedicated lab time.

Night classes specially geared towards residents, mostly during the PGY-2
