Hi,
I'm applying for Rad Onc this year. Unfortunately, I have a few things going against me including applying as a Canadian graduate (with US Citizenship) and lack of published research in the field. Otherwise I'm a pretty strong candidate (v. strong boards, good class rank). I really wanted to do an ASTRO presentation this year, but the research I am doing at my home school did not move along fast enough. It is a chart review study that I have worked on from the ground up...and should get a good rec from the Rad Onc here.
Anyway, I'm wondering if you guys would recommend me trying to do a case study while doing my aways in the USA during September. Do you think that would be of use? Am I wasting my time with the whole Rad Onc thing, or do I have a chance (I don't care about going to a top program).
Thanks everyone!
