The MS1 classes you take in an SMP do not transfer to med school, I'm assuming, right?

Thanks guys

Depends.

If you stay at the med school that hosts the SMP, you may have the option to not repeat coursework. EVMS, for example, lets you off the hook if you high pass and don't have any low exam scores. In general, it's a conversation, not an assumption.

If you go to another school, you may be able to petition out, if the school-to-school coursework mapping is straightforward. Also if they need TA's they may be motivated.

Best of luck to you.
