MS3 Anesthesiology elective - how to get the most out of it?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Just ask to do a lot, and see if you can get into a busy room each day. You shouldn't have any problems. If it's info you're looking for, go back through your notes on anesthetics (duh), and review some very basic pulmonology. A small alpha and beta receptor review would also be wise.

If you can, get access to Baby Miller (the small version of Miller and Stoelting's Basics of Anesthesia). It has succinct information on all the relevant drugs, anatomy, and physiology. Ask questions during the slow parts of the case, and ask 'why' a lot.
