So my MSPE is missing my grade/comments for the specialty I applied for as it was the last rotation I completed during my 3rd year. Has anyone ever encountered this issue or know the effects it has? The rest of my grades and comments are all good if that has any bearing.

In the school's defense, the hospital I completed my rotation at is notoriously slow for returning grades and it was my last rotation of my 3rd year (ending last week of July). I called and requested again, but without the grades and forms the school cannot do much. They just recontacted the hospital, but I don't know how much will get done this late in the game.

In the schools defense? They should be advocating for students by pestering people for not returning evals or making the evals much easier to complete (i.e. send to email to complete online). The admins at your school are likely extremely lazy (much like they are at most schools) and resistant to doing actual work vs. playing solitaire and counting their state pension.

But that aside, I don't see how this helps your situation. You should really be pressing the evaluators as well as the school to get that in, as this affects your application. (Not sure how much, but presumably having an honors grade on there for your specialty is going to help your app).

Very true. You're right. I thought more of what you said and got onto them this morning and turns out the grade and evaluations were sent in to the school by mail a few days ago and so they are currently in transit. -_-

I obviously don't know my grade but I know I at least did very well on the shelf and my evaluations I did see were impressive, so it does suck missing that possible honors for a few days. They said hopefully by Monday they will be able to update everything. I'm hoping so... There are just to many variables I've dealt with in this application process that depends on others and not myself, which I hate. But thanks for the insight.
