I used IE and didn't have any problems. I even had FW on. You may want to call them tomorrow about the problem. One thing. Is the format of the picture right and also the size correct?

Z,

I had the same problem... if you read the login page it says your computer must be set to accept all cookies and pop-ups in order to process... unfortunately I don't know how to turn off the pop-up blocker on my computer, so I'm gonna go into work and do it... I suggest you go to another computer you know doesn't have the security features and finish the app on that.... good luck

If you have a recent version of IE, just go into:

Tools >> Internet Options >> Privacy >> Block Pop Ups (uncheck this box)

You can also try setting your security level to "medium" or "low" temporarily to submit your application, in case it still doesn't work.

By the way, is your file in JPEG format?

Good luck,

Make sure the file is JPEG and ends in .jpg

Can someone please tell me what size the picture needs to be? I still haven't gotten the secondary from them yet 😡 but I figured I could at least go ahead and get a start on cropping my pic...

Thanks.

Their page automatically resizes and renames your pic, that's what all this stuff does:

16 : <cfset postimage="#uploadPath#\#session.aamcid#.#CFFILE.ServerFileEx t#">
17 : <!--- resize the image, and change it's name to the aamcid --->
18 : <CFX_GIFGD ACTION="RESIZE" FILE="#preimage#" OUTPUT="#postimage#" X="150" Y="200">
19 : <!--- delete the user's uploaded file --->
20 : <cffile action="delete" file="#preimage#">

Just make sure it's a jpeg and the file ends in .jpg.

Any essays for the MSSM secondary?

Yeah, 2 of them. 1. What makes you special? 2. What can you bring to the MSSM community?

I thought the essays were:

Personal Essay One (suggested 250 words or less)
What makes you special, someone who will add to the Mount Sinai community?

Personal Essay Two (Optional) (suggested 200 words or less)
Indicate the reasons for your specific interest in Mount Sinai.

😕

At least that's what I gathered from previous threads about MSSM...

You are correct.

1) Special?
2) Why Mt. Sinai?

anyone else having problem with the online payment system? I enabled the cookies, tried 2-3 different browsers on both mac and PC, but still get this error message:

"The following errors occured:

Agent Code has not been set up on the authorization system"

Also, does anyone else notice that the payment page is NOT secured?

I got that same error, MSSM needs to get on top of things and get it working.

Hey everyone,

I posted up a janky picture when I first got the email so that I could see the rest of the secondary, thinking I'd just go back and replace the pic. Tonight I went back and after pressing the upload file button for the new pic, the old pic kept showing up. Any suggestions about what's going on? I'm on firefox and the pic is a .jpg. I've tried like 20 times but each time it just keeps refreshing back to the old pic!!!

ok WTF? I can't seem to submit my payment.. says something about an invalid ID tag or some Shizzy.. can someone help?

READ THEIR SECOND EMAIL! It says turn security on IE down to none, pay, then put it back to what you normally use.

Try an older version of IE, it should let you turn it down all the way.
