Does anyone know the specifics about residency requirements in Michigan? That is really my top choice if I get in--I guess it's pretty competitive for out of staters (though there weren't any stats on their website specifically for out of staters). Can I push back my entrance a year and work so I only have to pay 19k over 35k? or is that not allowed?

Eric,

I'm currently attending MSUCOM as an out-of-state resident. You ARE able to deferr your acceptance, move to MI and work for a year to save some major tuition $$$s. I opted not to. They accept about 5 or so out-of-staters per year so the odds aren't pretty. You need to look good on the application and the people that write letters for you need to have great insight on you as a person.

Good luck applying!
