Hi everyone,
I received an interview invitation from Michigan today. I have to wait for them to tell me which date my interview will be (they say within 7 business days). In the meantime, I would like to plan my budget since by the time they tell me what day it is, it'll be a kind of a last minute booking. Here are my questions:

1) First off, do they usually take the full 7 business days to tell you which date you have? Or are they usually quick about it?

2) Can anyone recommend decent motels in the area? Do they offer a school shuttle or van from the hotel to the school (and maybe even to the airport)?

3) Interview Day--when does it usually start and end?

If you are interested I would recommend staying with a current second year student the night before your interview. You save money and gain a better insight of the school without the "guided tour." So they should be a lot more up front and honest. Tell the admissions office and they will forward your contact info to same sex second year students. Then they will get in touch with you. As for the scheduling of the interview, they e-mailed me and told me possible dates. I picked the earliest one which was still a month and a half after I was informed of the interview invite.
