Has anyone finished up the MSUCOM secondary, yet. If so, what kind of challenges/experiences did you use. Just trying to brainstorming and I'm come up empty.

Sorry, you'll have to write your own secondary.

i just wrote about a medical problem i had and how the treatment i recieved (not DO) led to my wanting to apply to osteo. close as i could get without stretching the truth.

Use Kaplan"s guide for brainstorming... "Essay that will get you into Med school.. " unfortun they all have to be true stories...

you seem kind of bitter and I would appreciate it that if you didn't have any constructive ideas, then don't reply to my posts. I'm planning on writing my own essay, I only wanted some feedback and I wouldn't take it from you anyways b/c if I remember correctly you are on the wait list.

I'm the one that seems bitter? I was just messing around, it sounds like you are the bitter one. BTW, I am not on the waitlist at MSUCOM, I don't know where you got that from, they have not even started interviewing, much less waitlisting people, and furthermore, I have been invited to interview at every school that has reviewed my secondaries so far, so I must be doing something right. Anyway, I am sorry I upset you. I thought the little winking emoticon at the top would convey my sarcasm. I am sorry, but you do need to chill, and if I were on the waitlist, it sure would have been rude and immature of you to make such a comment. You were intentionally trying to hurt me, why? Good luck with the MSUCOM secondary, it was the hardest one of all of them to fill out. It took a whaile, make sure you do it EXACTLY as requested or they will throw it out. Again, good luck and chill out...life is too short!

actually medic170, I also thought you were serious. I didn't see the winking icon at the top of your post either, but when I read it I gave you the benefit of the doubt and said to myself " He's probably just kidding around." maybe you should have included the icon somewhere in the statement like at the end or the beginning, just thought I would add some suggestions sorry.

P.S. can we all just get along??? 🙄 😍

I am jealous of you.. I am still waiting for UNECOM... this is the hardest part of the process... I guess once you are on here you get to know fast who is nice and who isn't. MEDIC170 nice.. me NOT SO NICE.

People.. I am originally from Vancouver.. and you know people there are more relaxed.

I had an easy time with the essay because I wrote about my first semester back in school after 10 years AND my wife was diagnosed with an aggressive breast cancer during it.
As far as their secondary goes, I wish they would take board letters and such. They really told me not to send them, but rather to have friends and people who have known you a long time write the evaluations. Too bad, because I've got some really great letters I would have wished they'd seen.
BTW, I got an email from the admissions advisor yesterday and she mentioned that the admissions board would start to meet during Sept. and interviews would start in October.
