I got an interview at MSUCOM and am wondering if anyone else has heard or interviewed there already??? Any suggestions regarding interview topics would be much appreciated! This is my number one school as a Michigan resident, so I'm pretty anxious!

Thanks! 🙂

I interviewed at MSUCOM two years ago and at that time they accepted about 98% of the people they interviewed. The interview was basically just a formality, so don't worry.
Things may have changed since then (I decided not to attend MSU, but I am sure some current students can correct me if anything is different now).

Check out the interview feedback for some of the types of questions:Interviews

Good luck.

Hello! So happy for you 🙂

I interviewed there last year (also a MI resident) and I felt very good about the interview. It was very laid-back. Because the interview was held at the professor's office, it felt more like talking to a professor at his/her office hour than in an interview. I was interviewed by two professors. Both of them are very nice. One was very interested in listening to what I have to say; the other likes to talk more (I am happy to listen...).

In any case, I was told that when you get an interview at MSU, you are already considered as accepted, unless you did something really absurd. I haven't known anyone that got interviewed but was denied. As you know they interviewed very very little out of state students, so most of the seats are reserved for the instates.

Hope that helps. Just don't worry. Be nice and show you passion towards medicine. Oh by the way, one of the professors did ask me how I can apply the osteopathic principle in relation to the topic we were discussing. Do prepare for that. However, just a general idea of the philosophy is sufficient. THey don't expect you to know much yet.

GOOD LUCK !
