Let me answer my own question regarding the Mt. Sinai SMP program.
From the information i have gathered over the past few days it appears that the Mt. Sinai program is very good. It is small (capped at 21 students) and has a well worn path to US med schools.
I have provided a link to comments made on this site a few years ago and have recently spoken to a current student that echos the sentiments of the 2006 poster.
I know this thread is pretty old, but just thought I'd update:
to get a guaranteed interview, you need a 3.5 undergraduate GPA, a 34 or higher on the MCAT, and a 3.6 in the masters' program. Also, Mt. Sinai does offer MCAT help.
