Would someone be so kind as to post the link to where on the AAMC website it describes the policy regarding holding multiple acceptances? I am fishing around but cannot seem to find it. I remember hearing and/or reading that students may hold multiple acceptances until May 15, but I just want to confirm that in writing. Thanks!!

Hmm..... This surprised me:

"By May 15 of the matriculation year (April 15 for schools whose first day of class is on or before July 30), each applicant who has received an offer of acceptance from more than one school choose the specific school at which the applicant prefers to enroll and withdraw his or her application, by written correspondence delivered by regular or electronic methods, from all other schools from which acceptance offers have been received."

I didn't realize that the deadline could be in April in some cases. So, if you have an acceptance to a school that starts on or before July 30th, then you have to drop all acceptances but that acceptance by April 15. Or alternatively, you need to drop any school that starts on or before July 30th by April 15th, but could conceivably continue holding onto other acceptances until May 15th. Good to know. (It looks like Loyola's first day is on July 30th, so April 15th will be my deadline, and not May 15th.)

Might be interesting to start a list of schools that start on or before July 30th. I think Mayo does too, and I'm sure there are more out there.

I think the earlier April 15th deadline is left up to the schools. Case starts on July 10th, but they don't require a decision until May 1st. Stritch should notify you somewhere if they use a deadline earlier than May 15th - but would probably be worth a phone call.

Wake starts in July. I think their decision deadline is also May 1st.
