Hey guys, so I have deposits at two schools. Here's what the ADEA says about multiple deposits:

Starting April 1, dental schools report to ADEA AADSAS the names and identification numbers of candidates who have paid a deposit, hold a position in a dental school entering class, or both. After April 5, ADEA AADSAS reports to each institution the names of candidates for its entering class who hold acceptance(s) at additional institutions. A dental school may rescind an offer of admission to a candidate who has paid deposits to or holds positions at multiple institutions. If the dental school chooses to withdraw this candidate from the entering class, the dental school must give the candidate a minimum 15-day notice.

My question: is there a 15-day notice for me to make a decision between the two schools? The phrasing of this line is kind of vague.. I've made up my mind between the two schools, so I was wondering whether I should withdraw from one of them tomorrow, or whether I should wait and see if I could possibly get any scholarship money once schools saw I had multiple deposits (wishful thinking, I know...). Has anyone had experience with this?? Should I just withdraw from the one school tomorrow? I saw comments on this on the official thread but I was unsure of what everyone meant. Thanks!!

Does one school appeal more to you than the other based on factors that are important to you? Then perhaps it woud be kind of you to withdraw from the lesser desirable school so others can have a chance at acceptance faster than waiting for your situation (holding off for scholarship money) to clear up. If the schools had wanted to offer you scholarships, they would have by now.

You could mention to one school that you got accepted to another and see if they have any money to give since they are your #1 choice. Word it professionally of course, but I wouldn't time out the clock as your method of doing this though.

Dental scholarships are reserved for superb students. You cannot milk d schools for money (unlike law schools who are practically begging for students to attend and will do anything to fill up their class).
