I'm a bit confused as to how the dental school seat deposit deadlines work. If we have multiple deposits at April 1st, the other schools will find out and possibly rescind our acceptance and seat; is that how it works? Does this mean if we have multiple deposits we should try to withdraw our seat before the April 1st then?

If so, how do we withdraw out seat? Do we just call each school and let them know or is there a formal process? Thanks in advance.

yes u must withdraw.
correct. its as easy and calling them letting them know. they will tell if there is more. i would probably email them as well just so theres a paper trail

No only if you've put a deposit at a school, will other schools find that out by April 5. You don't have any deadlines until you get accepted.

Is it possible to receive additional acceptances after April 1 when, presumably spots will open up? Can the other schools see that you have an acceptance which would make them not want to extend an offer?

I might be wrong but I think they only find out other schools that you’ve put deposits to.

[UPDATE]: Gave two schools a call and both of them required some kind of written confirmation for an official seat withdraw. They told me who to email, who to cc, and specifically what needs to be stated to open up the seat. Just call the schools and they'll help you out.
