Hey guys,

I found some other posts relating to minors, but they were all in other disciplines. First let me break it down for you. I'm a Senior in psychology who will be graduating in the spring of 2010. I plan on going to graduate school for a PhD in neuroscience or clinical neuropsychology. Right now I have a minor in neuroscience and am close to getting one in biology. Will an additional minor in biology, along with my strong GPA, and GRE scores be beneficial to me in the admissions process or should I just stick with my one minor in neuroscience?

Much appreciated.

I actually asked a clinical neuropsychologist a similar question and he basically told me that as long as you have the pre- reqs for the program your applying to it doesn't matter. Minors don't really mean that much. Research experience GRE and GPA are most important as long as you have the pre reqs. You already have a minor in neuro so I wouldn't worry.

Short answer- you don't need it unless you want it and it won't be much trouble.
