I've often read about the multiple CNS lesions due to the neural plaques...There are numerous sub-types which can cause optic neuritis, decrease sensation , decrease balance, numbness etc..
I've never directly read of psychiatric disturbances.

My question is:
Has anyone ever encountered M.S. manifesting itself with severe psychotic illness? And does this occur often with this pathophysiology??
