OK, decided to go the other way with that one... Good 4 u... cant say no to a scholarship.
 
I'm accepted at MUSC, no scholarship though sadly!

BTW, I am in instate.
 
I'm an in-state student. Anyone know anything about apartments down there? Right now I'm considering the Courtyard Apts on Meeting Street and the Sergeant Jasper Apts.
 
I had an interview the end of October, and I am still waiting to hear back from MUSC.
 
I just got an acceptance letter/UPS from MUSC!!!!!!!!
 
Did they call you with your acceptance as well??? I am still waiting to hear back from MUSC!
 
No call that I know of, just a letter.
 
congratulations! where do you live now? I am in charleston and already been out with a few folks i know will be in our class. You will probably get a call tomorrow. I had to try and act suprised haha

Hey guys, I'm waiting to hear back from MUSC myself and was wondering if anyone has figured out if they have a method to their phone calls? Do you think at this point it can happen anytime or do they have a date between interviews to let others know they are in?
 
it is generally on two week intervals
 
I must be the only one who lives out-of-state right now. I'll probably make the move in late April - early May. I've heard its better to live in West Ashley or James Island, but what happens if your car breaks down? How do you get to school? Its not like here in DC where you can always catch the metro. lol its going to take me some time to readjust...

I've heard from my friend at MUSC that Carta is not very reliable. I would rather stay downtown. I did undergrad research at MUSC for 3 summers, and the commute from Mt. Pleasant (thats where I'm from) everyday was not fun. I can only imagine the amount of traffic now...

Yeah, I'm pretty much over the SDN thing too.. Someone should start a Facebook group.
 
Has anyone heard of other friends who have heard back from MUSC recently? I interviewed back on Jan 12th and feel like I have a decent shot but this waiting is killing me. I know there is an interview on the 9th and maybe one more but it's getting down to the wire. Any news?
 
the last interview date is this friday... i heard this weekend there were 7 spots left but i would not take my word on that.
 
call jill and tell her you just want to check your status, it never hurts to let them know how interested you are
