Anyone out there? What were your stats and school of origin?

Hey, I'm an MCG ms-1. I can tell you that unless you did early acceptance most people get there acceptances for mcg later. I got mine at the beginning of march with 3.7/33 and most people I know got theirs around then or later. I think that the average mcat for matriculants is pretty close to the national average but I've heard that this year's applicant pool is up from previous years. A friend of mine who interviewed at Mercer like on Nov. 11, said that the earliest he would hear from them was mid January. He is still waiting to hear about an interview from MCG.

I interviewed at MCG on 10/20 and received my acceptance on 11/29, a non-early decision candidate. Also, MUSM told me they would begin interviewing in January and that I should expect to hear from them around then.

I called mercer last week and they said they have already started interviewing. 😡

Mercer does like 12 interviews before christmas. That's what the admissions dean told me.

i have a friend that got accepted to Mercer this past saturday (1/15). He interviewed on Nov. 11th. He has 3.5, 29 (Aug. MCAT), Emory Undergrad. Sent in the application early sept.

I applied to MCG and still haven't heard about an interview. It took them a long time to verify my in-state status though. I think it was mid-December when they finally believed that I'm a GA resident.

I'm a grad student at UGA with decent stats (3.75/28). My advisor is adjunct faculty there and knows admissions people. I really want to leave the state anyway...if they eventually decide to invite me, I think I will just go to the interview for practice.

A month ago I received an email from Mercer saying they would contact me if they were to schedule an interview. Today I called them to see what the status was and they scheduled me for an interview while I was on the phone. They said I was on a list for them to call. So now I have an interview for the next available day. So maybe you should call and check! 🙂

I interviewed at MCG as an EDP applicant and was defered into the regular applicant pool. I still havn't heard from them again. I interviewed at Mercer in November and again I still havn't heard! I hope I do not have to wait until March to find out. I do know that there are not many spots at Mercer due the large amount of EDP acceptences they have already issued. My hopes are not to high because my GPA kinda sucks. We shall soon see!

MCG notifies by mail of both interview and acceptance. Also my roommate down here just got an interview with Mercer (29 MCAT/not sure about GPA but it was pretty good) on Monday so they are definately still inviting people. Good Luck!

MCG sends out acceptances in the mail after each monthy committee meeting. i just got one on 1/31 from the late janurary meeting (yippee). i interviewed at MCG in early november.

also, i'm still waiting for a chance to interview at mercer.
