Greetings -

On behalf of the MWU AZ College of Dental Medicine’s ASDA chapter, I’m pleased to invite all interested predental students to participate in our predental mentor program. We want to provide assistance and be a resource for students who want to attend dental school and especially those who may have an interest in MWU AZ. We are offering a mentor dental student to help answer any questions you might have about applying, the life of a dental student, and, of course, any questions you have about MWU AZ.

When you sign up for a mentor, you will be paired with a current MWU AZ dental student who will remain your mentor for the rest of the school year. Each year, you can opt-in or opt-out of the program. Contact information (email) will be exchanged for you to correspond. A mentor is beneficial for predents at all stages of the process: from those just contemplating dentistry to those applying and interviewing. We were all in your shoes before and have insight and advice to share. Additionally, when it comes to researching specific dental schools, there is no greater resource than actual students.

If you’re interested in participating, sign up by following the link below. There are no commitments or obligations involved. It’s simply our goal to give predental students access to a current student to help them along in their journey.

If you’re part of a predent club, feel free to share this info on your Facebook group or mail list or whatever.

Also...many ASDA chapters have some form of predent component. I encourage predents to reach out to the chapters at your schools of interest when you’re researching schools. A short dialog with a students can give you a lot of insight when school websites and brochures are a little thin on information. SDN is a fantastic resource, but it can be hard to access students on here (for obvious reasons). Tucking away some emails in your address book might come in handy when you're scrambling to prepare for your interviews or write secondaries.
