NOw, I just got an invite for March and was wondering if i'm up against the odds now? ive been reading the waitlist has already started to form, so is my best shot the waitlist at this point??? also, does anyone have any numbers for how many people are sent invites out of all their applicants this year which is probably in the thousand range? Also, how many actually are accepted for the invites the send out? just a little worried...thanks everyone!

I attended a MCV and have been accepted. If I remember correctly, Wendy said that something like 40% (this one I'm not sure of) of the people that apply make it to a MCV and then 30% of people that make it to a MCV get accepted. She said 600 are invited for a MCV and 200 are accepted.

The only thing left to add to your application now is the live writing sample that you will do while you are there. You will be judged against the people that are at the MCV with you that day. You should get a response (accepted/denied/waitlisted) within two weeks of the MCV.

Like many people have mentioned before, folks in Illinois usually apply to UIC and Midwestern. UIC does not make a decision until April. Many folks that are accpeted to Midwestern initially wait to see if they have been accepted to UIC in April and then give up their seat at Midwestern. Even if spaces are getting low, I can just about guarantee that a handful will open up when UIC mails out their accetance letters.
