Are these sufficient or lacking (not that more is never good but do u think most adcoms would like or dislike what I have?)

1. 300 hours of research in one project.
2. 16 hours as a Validation Tester at ISRG
3. Member of Honor Society (Active but not as much as my other activities/more relaxed activity)
4. Poster Presentation at School Conference (Not related to above research)
5. About 100 hours of research in another project (currently on hold as it is dependent on first project completion.)
6. Treasurer of an on campus Organization
7. 150 hours of Volunteering at Stanford Hospital Oncology Department
8. Was a member of my campuses Student Health Advisory Committee for a year.
9. Active member of Biomedical Engineer Society.
10. 120 hours of Shadowing under an Orthopedic Surgeon
11. 200 hours as a tutor at a community mentoring program.
12. 400 hours of volunteering at community Donation center where I became supervisor.

These activities are what I have spent my free time doing and I do care genuinely about them (but ill be frank number 3 was just a what the heck kind of thing). Also for interviews I will make sure to go over how I described them in my activity sections but for those of you who have gone through that how much focus do interviewers put on our ECs (for schools where the interviewer actually sees the application before hand)?

Thanks!!!😍

Quite a bit of volunteering....I'm seriously impressed. 🙂

1. Your title is misleading. Impressive or lacking? Fishing for praise much? 🙄

2. Otherwise, to answer your in text question, yes they do dig deeper into ECs. I have heard Adcoms say that they were interested in an activity they saw on paper but when they asked about it in an interview the adcom sometimes was underwhelmed or worse the interviewee could not speak about 300+ hrs of clinical volunteering 😉

^Just don't be that guy/girl. Good luck! :luck: Truly an impressive list. Not the best, but still quite impressive even by SDN standards. Now, make sure you can convince interviewers that each meant ALOT to you. It might be harder to do as most people seem to focus on two to three activities if they actually mean ALOT to them but hey...maybe you had 11 die-hard causes or are a non-tread. It will be quite an effort to get your ideas together so start anticipating questions and thinking about them in your head in the shower or during runs (or wherever you let your mind wander).

With this being said, I haven't gone through the process (doing so now so take it with a grain of salt)

Thanks guys. I wasn't trying to get praise, but I've seen people with crazy amounts activities so.was a little concerned. I always think about kinds of questions and how I could talk about the activties listed, but sometimes I find it easy and others I just overthink what I am going to say. I'm probably gonna study them before interviews just to ensure I can talk to them.

I haven't gone through the app process but my friend who did said they only let you list 15. I don't know if this was for her school specifically or if its true for all schools.
