I did not mean any harm on my post about med vs dents. I was just making light of the stress that many people are feeling right now with the cycle closing in on them. I saw a few posts about how people are feeling that dental is inferior to medicine. I imagined that there are plenty of posts that could easily turn the tables on why med is better than dental. I guess I was wrong to bring something up where people took it so seriously. Yes, I know medicine is a serious field and should not be taken lightly, but at the same time humor is how i like to release stress a bit and I am sorry that many of you did not see things in the same light as I did. Well if you happen to read it and laugh, you got the joke, if you didn't then I hope you find your funny bone in anatomy.

well technically, there is no funny bone - - it's the ulnar nerve... which is just deep to the skin and very superficial. it runs along the ulnar nerve sulcus on the medial epicondyle of the humerus. because the nerve is not very well protected, when something strikes it, it causes pain and discomfort.

so good luck actually finding a funny bone. 🙂

...and yes, i'm being a smartass.

Whew, up until your last sentence I was thinking about how much of a tool you sounded like.

it was kinda funny and yes, A HINT of truth.
To each their own. Personally, I couldn't handle the stress of being a doctor, but im also sure i would come home from a successful day with a lot more satisfaction from saving a life than saving a tooth. I'm extremely excited to pursue my dental career, but sometimes when I watch House (yes, because tv IS reality) I think "damn that would be sweet to have the ability to save someones life everyday, etc."

Lets not get our panties in a bundle, people. Everyone has a path, ours is dentistry, and you gotta be able laugh at yourself a little bit.
