Do some butt exercises... you put your right cheek in, you put your right cheek out, you put your right cheek in and you shake it all about.... that should help with circulation😀 Please do the same with the left cheek

1.) Study less.

or,

2.) Stand whilst studying.

Since I started doing lower body lifting exercises (squats, lunges, and leg press), I've noticed improved sitting stamina (presumably due to increased a$$ size). It's worth a shot.

cushion the chair? take "get up and move" breaks every now and then

I've been sitting around studying for days on end. Got any tips?
Do some ass ups, I mean sit ups, I mean ass ups to work those muscles. You'll be surprised that the reason for this pain is that your ass is rebuilding new muscles. You'll be fine. Just give your body time to catch up.

I heard fat people don't have that problem, hit the fast food circuit and hit it hard.

I thought your a$$ was sore for some other reason

Yes, I have dirty mind.

Ass atrophy is a very dangerous side-effect of the medical school ailment. I used to think my friends in med school were talking figuratively when they used the phrase "I studied my ass off this weekend." If only I had known how serious they really were...

Yes, plank butt secondary to studying is a serious conditon afflicting millions of medstudents worldwide. I solved my problem by buying a cushioned folding chair. I switch it up and study on the couch once in a while, too (read: fall asleep 1 minute after opening my notes).

I study in a papasan at home and get up and walk around about every hour, never seem to have any ass related ailments so maybe you could give this a try. I have two tables on either side of the chair (which is in a corner) with all my study stuff surrounding me and then I put a dining room chair in front of the papasan to act as either an ottoman or a spot for my laptop when I'm reviewing notesets that have accompanying powerpoints . . . anyways I haven't gotten the study pains at all so maybe I've discovered the solution in my bizzarre study setup.

the only thing that helps me to avoid soar and flaccid ass syndrome is to prop my legs up on anything- chairs, tables, bookshelves, books....if i don't have my legs propped up on something my back gets sore also, on top of my ass.
