We bought a Toyota in 2003 and after 19 years it has 149,793 miles on the odometer. I plan to drive/ship it wherever I end up in residency, even if it's Alaska or Hawaii (island life-match). This dang car will outlive me. What do you drive?

2016 Mazda 3.
The car registered to me is a 2002 CR-V with 220k miles though

2015 Honda Hybrid Civic. Very grateful I bought it now since it gets 42 miles to the gallon and has an Econ mode. I accelerate like a granny and coast a lot but when gas costs as much as it does right now it’s saving me a lot of money.

Your car has 150k on the SPEEDOMETER?!

That’s like… 0.5% warp speed on a terrestrial vehicle

I had thoughts of trading my gas guzzler in for a smart car, but in my state, those huge souped up pick up truckers with the 17mm tires don't play nice on the highway.

2007 Honda Civic with 110,000 miles. Do pretty much all of the maintenance on my own. My 3 year old says he wants to drive it when he gets older.

Saving yourself a ton of $$ on oil changes. Nice. I have my oil changes at the dealership every 5000 miles with synthetic.

Saw in another post you're about to sign your first contract. Are you upgrading? Next car an EV?
Im still a pgy-2 so not yet!
Husband just bought a Tesla though. I havent thought about next steps for myself. The Honda is dying though

2006 Subraru Forester XT. Has 117k on it roughly. It's a sleeper. I'll be driving down the highway looking like a family station wagon and then a NYC Mercedes comes by and I can keep track. Love it.

My 2012 whip has 130k (all mine). I hope it lasts through residency, honestly. Its an ugly hatch, but it keeps the gold diggers at bay and that is priceless tbh

2007 Mustang w/ ~190k miles. They definitely weren't made to last back then and mine is definitely starting to show it's age with problems. Nothing with the engine yet though thankfully. If it can last me a couple more years I'll be happy.

Got it at 165k miles a few years back.

2013 prius c, ~80k miles. Described by my mechanic as "a cockroach that won't die"

Imagine driving up on your first day of internship in this bad boy.

That's barely broken in at 80K. My 2007 Prius lasted 250K before the battery died. The engine and transmission still worked great.

My surgical dept. is full of fake-ass cowboys with crap like this

Operating in cowboy boots and then telling the story of how he cracked his engine block cold starting a turbo diesel… because he’s a fake-ass cowboy.

Can’t wait to move for residency

2007 Lexus with 230k miles, it's still chugging along somehow ... Considering what to upgrade once I finish school, but everything is so damn pricey these days!

Rocking a 2015 Mazda 3 with 48k miles on it. Got it new when I finished college. Bad boy is paid off and I’m driving it into the ground.

An attending who hasn't upgraded to a schmancy S-class?
