My chances at SCCO and SUNY?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I believe most schools look at the TS more harshly than the AA. You should be fine with that score, be proud to score that high on the OAT! If your gpa is fine, i wouldnt be too worried.

How come you had to reapply? With those stats you should have gotten in this year! SCCO requires RC to be above 300 for some reason.

I'm re-applying this year and need some input.

My top choice schools are SUNY and SCCO. I would be really happy with either one. What are my chances for these two schools?

QR 400
RC 290 🙂()
Bio 330
GC 350
OC 380
Phy 380
TS 370
AA 360

Overall GPA 3.26

Worked as an optometrist assistant for 2 months and shadowed optometrist for about 2 months.

Also, should I re-take the test because of my RC?

It's possible that she may have bombed the interview...

yeah i hate to say it but if you got an interview at scco and didnt get in there is probably not a lot of hope for you this year.... if you did not get an interview with those scores it is the rc and you definitely need to retake the oat. if those were your stats last year the reason you didnt get in is likely due to the interview... and im not really sure how you can change that

SCCO I hear does NOT like to see below 300 for RC (and only RC out of any section).

I would recommend you retake the OATs and study very hard for the RC portion.

But unless you were still granted an interview and then denied, it doesn't bode well for you.

you should call SUNY and SCCO to ask for some feedback on your application. they could shed some light on what they see as your strengths and weaknesses and what you could do to improve your chances.

hey! SCCO requires that you have at least a 300 on RC, TS, and AA....good luck!
