I would really like to start Optometry school next Fall (2012) but I'm not sure if I have the numbers. My overall GPA is 3.4 and Science GPA 3.3, and I majored in Chemistry. I just took the OAT on Tuesday- These are the numbers:
QC: 330
RC: 400
Bio: 310
Gen Chem: 330
Orgo: 320
Physics: 310
TS: 320
SS: 330

I know it's pretty late in the application cycle, so is it worth it to even apply this year? Or should I retake the OAT in January, and apply early for Fall 2013?
Thanks- I really appreciate your advice.

I would apply. I know for Salus at least they have a lot of seats to fill (160 i think?). And I am sure there are going to be plenty of people to apply later than you.

I'd say you have a very good chance of getting into Salus. SUNY would be a reach for you.

PCO you have a good chance. SUNY you don't have competitive enough numbers in either GPA or OAT. Boost your OAT and you could be a candidate for SUNY.

And its not even late in the cycle. Late is applying in March. SUNY and PCO still give interviews that late but usually SUNY would be filled up with deposits by then.

Any reason for just PCO and SUNY, their programs are quite different structurally.
